I am struck with Man Flu!!!!
Now I expect NO sympathy at all from the ladies, but I know all men will immediately understand how bad my suffering really is!!!!! Hence why I have been a bit quiet. But then I remind myself……am I really that crook.
This weekend I will be participating in the Cancer Council (http://www.cancer.org.au/) Relay For Life (https://www.relayforlife.org.au/). I, like many here, have lost friends to this insidious disease! Last year, one of the loveliest blokes I have had the pleasure to have known, a great character and a man of immense courage and stoicism, lost his battle. And therefore this weekend I will be participating in the memory of Peter Burnham:

One of Peter’s wishes to to join a Golf Club and play in a competition. I was delighted to be there on the number of occasions that he participated and was able to capture this great shot that encapsulates Peter: Nothing stopped him smiling: Every challenge accepted!!
Peter also loved a good Whisky and we at times got together to enjoy a lovely tipple. As a result, the Peter Burnham Whisky Appreciation Society (PBWAS) was formed.

On this occasion Peter is joined by: Steve Innis, PB, Glenn Wran and yours truly.
So as crook as I may still feel., I’m alive enjoying life with family friends and loved ones. So I don’t really have a lot to complain about do I (we). And therefore this weekend, crook (?) or not, I will be participating in memory of my brother Peter.
For those interested the PBWAS Relay for Life team (http://ccau.convio.net/site/TR/RelayforLife/CCNSW?team_id=54320&pg=team&fr_id=4656) is:
Stephen Hladio: Tina Burnham: Stephen Innis:
We are hoping to add a couple but if that’s who it is, then so be it. But for Peter there will also be this (with PBWAS member Brett Blackler in the bg):

And for any readers out there who have lost a loved one: our thoughts are with you as well.
